TEXAS ARTIST

10x10 Oil on panel
NFS

This is a painting I did from a photograph I took last spring at the Paint Out at Prairie Fest in Fort Worth. There were some fantastic artists working that day. You can get some wonderful paintings and it is just fun to be in this beautiful prairie in the middle of Fort Worth.

I haven't been able to photograph any paintings in the last few days. I need to learn how to photograph inside without getting glare. It just continues to rain and rain so I am having a difficult time getting outside to photograph.

  1. Love this painting! You've really captured the feel of a Texas day. Great light on the artist's shirt and the frame works beautifully with it. I can understand why you don't want to sell this beauty!

  2. Linda, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. This is a really lovely painting. It has just enough information to carry it but not too little that it does not intrigue. As to taking pics of your paintings indoors, its a case of trial and error finding good spots. You need indirect, natural light, preferably on an overcast but not dull day. But I suppose the north of England gets that weather a bit more frequently than you do in Texas!
