SATURDAY NUDE

8x8 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

This beautiful Saturday morning was spent in studio with a group of fantastic artists and a fantastic model. The model will be back again next Saturday and I plan to go again. It's been soooo long (as you can tell!) since I've painted or drawn a model from life and it was such a treat. I didn't get anywhere near finished, but I had fun trying. I will probably wipe this out and begin a new one next week. I hope everyone else is having a good day, too!!

  1. Linda, This is wonderful and sounds like you had so much fun! I think you should keep this and not wipe it! It has wonderful form, values and colors- all of our favorite things:)

  3. I so hope I caught you before you wiped this one out, I love the abstract quality to it and I think it's important for you to keep them all so you can see your progression. In addition to the beautiful figure, I really like this muted palette; well done, Linda!

  5. I like it..reminds me of the Hensche "mud people" (it was a term for paintings with less detail that we are accustomed to). Nicely done!
