THREE PLUMS ON BLUE PLATE

6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

The weather here has been absolutely beautiful! I've been painting outside, which I love! However, my paintings need a lot of work (to say the least). I'm going outside again tomorrow and hopefully I'll paint something worth posting. The weather forecast today was for rain, maybe even tornadoes. I decided to stay home. It's been sunny with clouds once in a while. Even though the weather was good, I painted in the studio. Plums were in the fridge and perfect to paint ... and eat!

I am also on Facebook. At some point I will learn how to use it with some degree of efficiency. Now I am still trying to figure it out. :-)

  5. The color palette in this one is just beautiful together. I like that you repeated some of the color of the plums in the shadow of the plate. This is really lovely.

  7. Beautiful color and, dare I say, motion, in this still life. Your energetic brush strokes and the complementary color use make this really vibrate with life.
