THREE DAYS APPLES

6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

Apples - the shapes, colors, volume. It seems that apples and other fruits are always a popular subject to paint. I like the practice of painting apples. They are familiar, but at the same time different each time they are painted. Isn't it wonderful that produce from the super market brings such joy?

The weekend is here - ENJOY!

  2. Apples are one of my favorite subject matter too Linda. Especially love your shadows here - with just a hint of green.

  7. This is a wonderful painting, I especially like the way you handled the shadows. I like the color in the shadows and the fact that they aren't too dark. There is a lot going on yet you have kept the composition simple so the focus is on your color and luscious paint strokes.
