PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

When painting for this month's Virtual Paintout challenge I kept thinking - SQUINT! MASS! SIMPLIFY! All of which I need to remind myself (among other things!!). I think I succeeded. This was really fun to paint! The Czech Republic is a beautiful country. I found it difficult to decide on what to paint. I spent a lot of time just exploring!

Have a fun filled weekend!!

  2. Wow! Awesome, dynamic composition and that red and the electrical (phone?) lines positively buzz! I love the street lines too. Really nice graphic quality. FAB!

  3. This turned out great, Linda! Love the way the wires look and the way that red pops next to the olive.

Great job on the sketch below too!

  4. Nice one. The greens make the reds pop and vice versa! The simple shapes really sing.

  6. I love the painintg. I love the wires, and the way they criss-cross all over the place. That's the way it is over there. You made all those straight lines look effortless. I'm sure they're not. Good job. Maija
