THREE PEARS

6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord n

I found these pears at Central Market. They aren't Asian pears, which are usually round. I can't remember the name. They are fairly round and nice colors. They look more like apples. I have no idea how they taste. I used them as subjects for several days and by the time I was finished with them - they were finished!

  2. You really made me laugh when you said: "by the time I was finished with them - they were finished!"

I've been there. It's a good thing you really captured them before they got that giant black spot on the lighted side. They look terrific, you did well.

Again, thanks for the laugh. Anyone that paints fruit from life, with a spotlight on it, knows exactly what you're talking about. I enjoyed your comment. You've got a good sense of humor.

  3. Great composition. Try painting radishes! The leaves wilt in the light before you even get to them!
