LIMES TWO

6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

This is the same set up as the previous post. It's painted from a different perspective, like the clementines were. I like doing this as it provides good learning possibilities. In Carol's workshop we were encouraged to paint the same thing over and over and I understand the reasoning behind this suggestion. With each new angle the more one sees ..... values, color, edges, shapes. Learning - it's a wonder!!

  1. Hi Linda,
Yes i think your teacher is right. It's a very good exercise to paint your subject from different corners.
I like this new with the light on the green lemon.
Sorry if my english isn't very good... En français je vous dis simplement que vous avez tout à fait raison de peindre et repeindre sous différents angles votre sujet. Cela vous permets d'aiguiser au mieux votre yeux et d'acquérir une certaine dextérité naturelle.
    Bisous, kisses

  4. Really terrific Linda! Love the color palette and the beautiful brush work. I'll have to try painting the same subject multiple times.
