This is NOT a mug shot!! I repeat, NOT a mug shot!!!
She is innocent .... on most things.
Julie is my younger (as she is ALWAYS pointing out to me) sister. We are only two and a half years apart, but listening to her you would think it is decades. She has been on my mind recently as each year we take a road trip together. This year it is about two weeks away and we are still trying to make a decision as to where we will go. It really doesn't matter. The trip is full of laughter no matter where we end up. This year I am driving with hopes that we won't get lost quite so often! She is terrible at following directions and listening to me .... the navigator. We'll see what happens!
Lovely portrait Linda. When the image came up on my screen, I thought, wow, she looks like Linda, and as it turns out she's your sister! Obviously a very good likeness. Have a wonderful trip and many laughs, as only sisters can do togther.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have such fun with your sister! You are lucky to be able to share thoses moments with her!
ReplyDeletehave a good trip!
Wow, Linda -- you are really moving along with these portraits. This one of your sister is fantastic! The skin tone and the eyes are really great. I hope Julie agrees. I look forward to hearing about your road trip!
ReplyDeleteAren't sisters the best? I must say, though, if her name is Julie, she must be innocent! Really nice portraits, Linda.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you clarified with your disclaimer, lol! Sounds like you'll have a fabulous time! Can't wait to read about your trip:)
ReplyDelete.....Linda, the first thing I thought when I saw this painting on my sidebar is "she doesn't belong in jail!" It is fun to compare a "regular" portrait to your mug shots portraits, because it is clear you are capturing a lot of (the criminal's) remorse, anger, hurt, hard knocks, etc. But Julie takes care of herself and she has a kind face. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time on your trip...your whole post makes me wish I had a sister!
Beautiful portrait, Linda! You've gotten so good at heads . . . love her forthright yet faraway expression.
