From Cape Cod back home to Fort Worth. Beautiful mornings call for plein air paintings. Unfortunately, I had a limited amount of time so I grabbed my camera and took some reference photos. I came across this interesting old house that looked as though it had been abandoned for quite some time.
A man builds a house in England with the expectation of living in it and leaving it to his children; we shed our houses in America as easily as a snail does his shell.

Very nice Linda, this feels like a old abandoned house. Love the painterly style.
ReplyDeleteNicely done....beautiful shapes and.......it does feel "lonely"!
ReplyDeleteLinda I love how your paintings are looking softer and softer.
ReplyDeleteI love your color choices and your nice soft edges. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote Linda. I was raised with a father in the Navy so don't have that experience of really being rooted in a home. The painting really evokes a mood of isolation.
