ABANDONED

From Cape Cod back home to Fort Worth.  Beautiful mornings call for plein air paintings.  Unfortunately, I had a limited amount of time so I grabbed my camera and took some reference photos.  I came across this interesting old house that looked as though it had been abandoned for quite some time.
A man builds a house in England with the expectation of living in it and leaving it to his children; we shed our houses in America as easily as a snail does his shell.

  5. I love that quote Linda. I was raised with a father in the Navy so don't have that experience of really being rooted in a home. The painting really evokes a mood of isolation.
