My postings have become far and few between. My husband and I are in the middle of moving. We just sold our house and are building a house, so for the next few months I will continue to paint, but will post when I can.
When I began painting mug shots I had no idea how far I would go with it. I am a little surprised that I am on 91 and still enjoying the series. Of course, I will make it to 100 and then, who knows. There are so many interesting faces and I learn with each one so I suspect the series will continue.
Gros bisous

DeleteHis gaze is fascinating, it is almost worried, tormented ... mouth pursed tight and with some relaxation. A wonderful capture is more than a physical paint. You went to get his soul with your brush. Kisses
Often when I see criminals or homeless people I think "he is someone's son"! I had that same notion about this man...he was maybe the apple of his Mom's eye....or maybe not! I'm glad you immortalized him in any case.
ReplyDeletep.s. congratulations on the sale, move and new house!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great stare! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAll the best with the new build! :-)
