6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
These mugshots continue to be fun and a really good learning tool. In addition, painting these faces have provided therapy for me the last few weeks as my daughter-in-law, Heather, was diagnosed with breast cancer. I know that some of you are aware of this through Facebook. For those that don't know, she is doing really well and will begin chemo soon. And, so my therapy (which I love!) will continue .....
Good therapy indeed for you- keep it up. So pleased for Heather.
ReplyDeleteOn this guy, I really like the bits of black coming through his green shirt. Nice green and gray against each other too!
This is really fun to look at; his piercing gaze is slightly disturbing. I lke how you handled the hairline, really works.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that, painting does provide a calming type of therapy doesn't it? These portraits are very striking!
ReplyDeleteThose eyes just grab you! Nice job on this one, LInda!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you and Heather in my prayers. So glad she is doing well.
You have excellent therapy results with your "faces" and I hope that Heather will be supported by the love of family and friends as she makes the journey to recovery.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and wish her the best. Your "mug shots" just get better every time. Excellent work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your support in my art and in our breast cancer journey with Heather!!
