I like working on this format. There is more room to play with the background and to paint the entire photograph. My brush strokes are getting looser and I like that. This was one of my favorites to paint!
I love how this looks on a thumbnail . . . just a pouf of hair at the bottom of the frame! She has a lot of personality and I love how refined but loosely she's painted.
Linda this format you have chosen for this painting is so intriguing. Vulnerability, a sense of loss and at the same time you have captures facial features with some very deft brushwork. Very nice.
