I have been taking care of grandchildren, hence the lack of posting the last few days. The next group arrived today so there will be few, if any, posts this week.

I had a few hours today to paint so I decided to try an artichoke. The first painting was a wipe out. I was determined to get something down so I started over and I am pleased with this one. It's the first time I've painted an artichoke. It's not an easy subject, but it was definitely fun.

  16. You're right Linda. Artichokes are a more difficult subject as well as a more difficult veggie to cook and consume, but well worth the trouble. Have fun with your grandbabies.

  20. Hi, Linda! What a beautiful artichoke!!! Great colors, comp. and scale.
Thanks for tracking me down and giving me 'the heads up' on my Pass the Salt post! I really appreciate it!
Love those grandchildren! They'll never forget you...I know I certainly haven't forgotten mine. I can't wait to see them again someday. My little 4 1/2 yr. old grandaughter Carter, spent a week together recently...it's a toss up as to who had more fun!

    Again, thanks!

    Big hug!
