6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
You know how some paintings just appear on the canvas? This is one of those paintings. I knew immediately that I wanted to paint him. Beautiful, dark skin tones and the shift of his head spoke to me. I may paint him again in a larger format.
I do know what you mean...sometimes I also wonder..."who painted this?"...same sort of thing. This fellow does have wonderful color and expression...and I love how you caught those great shapes throughout.
ReplyDeleteThese mugs are wonderful. I love the profile...the skin tones and the mood you are able to achieve with your loose brush strokes. Love it!
