6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
Another group of pears. I was at Central Market the other day and saw these beautiful pears. Well, of course, I had to bring them home and paint them. The reds and greens were too bright to pass up. Central Market is like a candy store with all their outstanding produce. Sometimes I go in and feel overwhelmed with all the shapes and colors. I just want EVERYTHING!
Nice color!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to find your blog from Suzanne Berry. Your work is inspiring. Thank you for sharing. All the best to you.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I know what you are trying to say here, it happens with me too..I think master pieces can be created out of a visit to a market place.. here I love the colors you chose and arranged the shapes so beautifully with an abstract touch, well done!
ReplyDeletebeautiful color and shapes--they look like friends in a conversation.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they're dancing :) I like the set-up and color use alot.
ReplyDeletethere is a lovely icy coolness within the warms that just makes you think:) hey fruit and veg markets always inspire me... even though i rarely paint fruit.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in these pears are wonderful. The way they lean into one another really works as well.
ReplyDeleteI remember visiting Central Market on a trip to Austin... it was overwhelming! I thought I'd be lost for days... and never did find any green chili for rellenos.
ReplyDeleteYour pears are sumptuous! The arrangement and colors are very appealing.
