6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
I've been doing quite a few of these 10 minute paintings. They are not only a good learning tool, but they are fun. I haven't photographed my other ones, but when I do I will post them. These paintings are of Smuckers strawberry jelly jar. As you can see in the first one I tried to put in too much detail, but by the last one all detail is gone. Those 10 minutes fly by!!
Wow... 10 minutes!!! Now THAT's a challenge!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I am so proud of your dedication to your paintings. Good job. I'm really looking forward to seeing your plein aire work after all your painting time you have put in.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this a great exercise??? I like #3 the best; it's just interesting!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this a great exercise? I like #3 the best; it's so interesting!
Gros bisous
These are fantastic! You are full of great ideas, I look forward to seeingmore. I wonder what size they are? Maybe 3"x3" or so?

Great job! I love these too and need to do more. The 10 minutes does help to not include too much detail!
ReplyDeleteCatching up with visiting blogs this morning . . . you've been working hard! Really like these pudgy jelly jars and your free brush strokes. Love your tomato exercises (you're getting so good!) and Hanging Laundry---love the colors, strokes, sense of space and how simple and abstract it is.
ReplyDeleteGreat series! I actually like the fourth one. Love the angles. It's very interesting to see how the subject evolved.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for you kind comment on my blog.
This looks like fun. I must give it a try ... I need a good learning tool. Fun to see the growth as they progressed.
ReplyDeleteI am with Virginia- like that angled confident quick strokes on the 4th one! Great idea to keep doing. I always knew you were smart!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great exercise and you can see the joy you took in it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I like em all...super subject choice and execution!
