6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
This is my submission to Windows to the Words ART for the May challenge. I wanted to have a butterfly sitting on a paintbrush, but was in kind of a hurry so that just didn't happen. Visit Windows to the Words ART. I think you will be pleased!
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteLove your work and so glad to have found your blog (& thanks for following mine). I love this butterfly study. The colours are so clear and complementary.
best wishes

it reminds me of a Sioux chief!
ReplyDeleteNice butterfly!
Beautiful painting, Linda. I really like your colors of the background and your butterfly. Having it on a paintbrush would have been delightful, but still a great painting!
ReplyDeleteLove this composition. There is a Butterfly Museum/Garden in Denver. I should head up there!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I don't know what I like most--it would be a toss up between the composition and the muted color combinations.
ReplyDeleteFaye
Just lovely, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love the color harmony but also the close valuesand the way this all visually leads into the top left of the butterfly- super design
ReplyDeleteFirst, that's a wonderful painting. The colors have such unity and harmony. Second, that was a very interesting website. I had never heard of it before. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat color, Linda. I have a butterfly on one of my blogs that I hatched in the house and painted from life. Don't know if that can happen again.
ReplyDeleteThis one has a real graphic quality to it.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
