5x7 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
Virtual Paintout is such fun! This month Bill Guffey sent us to County Clare, Ireland. The photography was, in my opinion, better than former places we've visited. It was a delight to explore this beautiful area of the world. Click HERE to view art work and take the challenge yourself.
On another note, I love dogs, especially my dog, Maggie. However, I also love other people's and I just looked at Suzanne Berry's blog with the portrait of one of her Pugs (she has two). Her story of falling in love with these dogs is funny and just fun to read. Take a minute and click HERE to read her story, see a great painting and a photograph of her two cute Pugs!
ENJOY YOUR WEEK-END!!
What a wonderful painting with a great opportunity for us to all try. Thanks for passing that on. Love Ireland, my grandparents were from there and my dogs name is Maggie! Too funny! I really like the softness of the red building in the background but it still grabs our attention. Have a great weekend also.
ReplyDeleteOh, this makes me think of when I visited County Clare several years ago. I love the rich golds and greens of the field. Nice brushstrokes.

Nice painting, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI've seen this view, too, and I decided to participate, this month. And Ireland is a beautiful country.
Bravo!
I love all of the soft greens- the red building compliments them so well.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful rappresentation of a wonderful country, Linda! I love the loose way you painted the greens and the house in the background... it is so moody! Ciao!
ReplyDeleteI love the suggested looseness of this painting... The colors play well together...
ReplyDeleteYour brush strokes are so wonderfully scribbly. Nice piece.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
