6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
Good Monday to everyone!
I'm still working on loosening up. This little painting was done quickly in order to achieve that goal. Working in a limited amount of time allows one to see only what is important and to put it down. It doesn't allow for fussing with too many details. Carol Marine's exercises have helped me with this. In order to improve it is practice, practice, practice!

Beautiful little painting! I like the pastel color palette. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteLook at those gorgeous brushstrokes! Really like the reflections and shadows too. Wonderful way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteIl y a une grande douceur et une certaine sensibilité dans la manière de nuancer ces couleurs et qui dit sensibilité dit fragilité et pour tant paradoxalement il y a une certaine force qui s'en dégage...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
Great job Linda... meant to tell you how much I loved your iris on the STAWTP blog, too.... just lovely... almost makes me want to paint a flower! M
ReplyDeleteI love the nice soft colors in this one. Great brushwork.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I like the soft, pastel palette of this painting. The shadow is a wonderful hue! So lovely!!
ReplyDeleteNice soft colors, good highlights and shadows.
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely !!
ReplyDeleteYour talent in painting the innumerable shadings of white is incomparable, Linda!
ReplyDeleteOooo, i love the softness of these! the pastel shades are just perfect and barely there but so solid at the some time! Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteGreat painting, and I love the soft colors like in the post before, sometimes things turn out right immediately, and sometimes you can "fiddle " for hours without ever getting it right!
