6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
I have the privilege of choosing this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge (thanks, again, Carol!) and this is my submission. I enjoyed going through some of my photographs from last year's trip to New York and then painting this young woman. I wanted to get the light that struck her blonde hair that was blowing in a strong wind and I think I succeeded. Her focus was on her phone and not on anything going on around her. She was just one of many interesting people that I saw and had the opportunity to photograph. Please go to DPW and have some fun with this week's challenge!
Great!!
ReplyDeleteYou see so many people like this totally focused on their smart phones.
You did a fantastic job on this. And the ballerina you painted is wonderful too, I hope you paint more ballerinas!

Wonderful job on capturing her complete focus on her phone with her head angle and body posture. Really like the colors in your blacks. I look forward to trying this challenge after Easter. Have a happy one.
ReplyDeleteA very familiar sight these days and you captured her well Linda!
BELLE PEINTURE...

ReplyDeleteAlso really like the way you handled the Eiffel Tower..nice brush strokes
