8x10 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
This is my submission to this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge. The challenge is all about color using one of two color wheels with one being the traditional wheel and one being the Munsell color wheel. I decided to use a triad color scheme on the Munsell, using green as my main color with violet as a secondary color and red my third. I always learn something when painting challenges. With this one I learned that I prefer the Munsell color wheel. Color always attracts me, but I really don't know how to use color the way that I would like. I am going to study more about color schemes and how they can help create a pleasing and interesting piece of art.
Wonderful painting- love the green apple center stage! I need to learn more about the Munsell color wheel. I love color and bet I would like it too.
ReplyDeleteFun colors, Linda! I just returned from a workshop where we worked a lot with the Munsell color wheel and different color schemes. I like it better too. Nice work!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Linda! :)
ReplyDeleteI think we all love color and green/purple is one of my favorite combos. Nice one!
