DPW CHALLENGE 4/18/11

8x10 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord

This is my submission to this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge. The challenge is all about color using one of two color wheels with one being the traditional wheel and one being the Munsell color wheel. I decided to use a triad color scheme on the Munsell, using green as my main color with violet as a secondary color and red my third. I always learn something when painting challenges. With this one I learned that I prefer the Munsell color wheel. Color always attracts me, but I really don't know how to use color the way that I would like. I am going to study more about color schemes and how they can help create a pleasing and interesting piece of art.
