6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
It's been a really busy week, but a nice one. I think I am back on track with my painting schedule and look forward to more painting this week.
This figure study was painted on Saturday with our group of artists. We had a good model and I managed to do this and a head study, which I may post at a later date. We worked from natural light from the windows and so I had to get the light as fast as I could. As always there is room for improvement, but I am happy with this. I enjoy painting the figure and hope to do more of it.
Nice work, Linda! The flesh tones look good!
ReplyDeleteNice job. Love how you suggested his face.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Linda. You did a good job on the proportions of the head and torso, and the warm and cool tones on the skin are very nice. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of your blue background with the warm skin tones.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job - and isn't figure painting a good exercise no matter what kind of painting you usually do? Nice proportions, Linda, too.
ReplyDeleteI think this is something to be happy with. Nice job well done.
ReplyDeleteanother good figure! Keep them coming !
