6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
This painting was completed by putting down one stroke and leaving it. No messing around was allowed - well, except a couple of places. I think by painting the cherry yesterday helped in knowing what to do and, of course, SQUINTING!! Not much value change in cherries, they are so dark. I'm please with how this painting turned out.
Linda, I love the colors in this one!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with these little guys! Excellent brushwork and personality
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition- I like the little guy just off the edge. You are having a cherry festival...great series.
ReplyDeletePutting it down and leaving it there obviously works! This is a really nice piece, and I love the composition.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love the darkness of the cherries. It reads beautifully.

ReplyDeleteLinda, I am impressed!those cherries are characters!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful title! An a delightful painting, too. I like the hints of pink in the grayed background. And the shadows are great, tying each cherry to the next. Really nice composition!

ReplyDeleteGreat work Linda... tells a great story!
ReplyDeletePaint what you see.....hmmmm who said that?
ReplyDeleteThis is a slammin' painting, Linda. Beautiful brushwork and no fussing!!!
Nice cherries. Look like this must have been tricky with the shadows?
