8x8 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
This beautiful Saturday morning was spent in studio with a group of fantastic artists and a fantastic model. The model will be back again next Saturday and I plan to go again. It's been soooo long (as you can tell!) since I've painted or drawn a model from life and it was such a treat. I didn't get anywhere near finished, but I had fun trying. I will probably wipe this out and begin a new one next week. I hope everyone else is having a good day, too!!
Linda, This is wonderful and sounds like you had so much fun! I think you should keep this and not wipe it! It has wonderful form, values and colors- all of our favorite things:)
ReplyDeleteNice job!! I especiall like the left arm (hand) and the forshortend left leg...looks like you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteI so hope I caught you before you wiped this one out, I love the abstract quality to it and I think it's important for you to keep them all so you can see your progression. In addition to the beautiful figure, I really like this muted palette; well done, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I absolutely love this figure painting! I think this is my all time favorite of yours. Just great!
ReplyDeleteI like it..reminds me of the Hensche "mud people" (it was a term for paintings with less detail that we are accustomed to). Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of the above comments. This turned out great!
ReplyDeleteReally like the quick gestural feel of this and quality of light! A departure for you! It looks like you had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was great painting with you again. You did a great job of capturing the pose and establishing the values.
